Learn how to help someone experiencing a mental health problem
What is Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health First Aid is a common sense approach to mental health awareness using the first aid model.
It is designed to raise awareness of mental health issues and reduce the stigma and discrimination often associated with them in the community.
Mental health problems are common with 1 in 4 British adults experiencing them every year.
Mental Health First Aid gives ordinary men and women the tools they need:
to recognise the symptoms of mental health problems
to provide initial help
to guide a person towards appropriate professional help.
Bill Cunningham has been delivering MHFA training throughout England since 2007.
